The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® Housing Affordability Fund (HAF) receives donations from members, non-members and other institutions that are committed to addressing the housing challenges in California. It distributes these resources through local Associations who have submitted funding requests for local programs that address housing affordability and housing supply directly. In order to have the maximum impact, it seeks to leverage its funds with local Associations and their housing partners.
Local Associations seeking a grant must fill out the provided forms. For proper consideration, funding request applications should be submitted a minimum of 7 weeks before any of the C.A.R. Business Meetings to accommodate the review process. It is important to be aware that the review process may encounter delays if additional information or clarifications are needed. Furthermore, a mandatory in-person presentation of the program proposal is required for all funding requests.
Funding Request Grant Application
Upon completion of the project, the local association must submit a comprehensive final report, including any other relevant materials, outlining the project's details and its ultimate outcome. Click on the link below to complete and submit to Alma Menchaca at [email protected].
Awards will be based upon merits of the proposed projects. No more than 10% of the fund balance may go towards an individual award without full C.A.R. Board of Directors approval. No more than 25% of the fund balance may be disbursed per year without full C.A.R. Board of Directors approval. Our HAF SNAPSHOT provides a concise timeline overview of approved grants distributed to Local Associations.
